The RNEWS Lilac Parade - Saturday May 10, 2008

Over 125 entries including nationally recognized marching bands, and drum and bugle corps will wind their way down South Avenue and turn down Highland Avenue in the largest parade the Lilac Festival has ever hosted. The 2008 parade will feature more than 20 marching bands, local dignitaries, school bands and school children from all areas of Monroe County. The Lilac Parade begins at Science Parkway off South Avenue, and continues down South Avenue to Highland Avenue, and Highland Avenue to Goodman Street.

Parade watchers are encouraged to take advantage of the parking and shuttle bus at MCC. Shuttle busses run from 8:30AM - 8:30PM on Parade Day. (Normal Shuttle Hours are 10:30AM - 8:30PM) More information to come!
